The next big thing in dentistry is Amorphous Calcium Phosphate or ACP.  It is the first nonflouride therapy known to rebuild your tooth.  From healing the early stages of a cavity to desensitizing teeth, ACP is one of the hottest materials in dentistry and much more effective than traditional flourides.  It works  by enhancing the natural healing process of your salivia.  By using the calcium and phosphate ions, it recrystallizes the tooth’s enamel to repair an early cavity.  The first ACP product debuted in 1999 under the name Enamelon.  Although widely available at the time, now it usually is only in found in dental offices.

Who benefits from ACP?  Any one with sensitivity, exposed root surfaces, incipiant or early cavities, and especially anyone with braces.  The good news? Our office has now starting ordering this toothpaste for our patients.  If you would like more information, please get in touch with us!
